Congressman Jim Cooper, of Tennessee's 5th District, has a very useful page on FLOOD ASSISTANCE. A getting started guide for what you need to do is found here.

If you have damage, and have not yet registered, you should register for assistance at a DRC. You can register online or by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362). The TTY number is 1-800-462-7585 for those who are speech- or hearing-impaired. There is more information and instruction available on the FEMA Assistance page.

  • FEMA Registration Help - Free
    Assistance in registering for FEMA has been offered by a law group in Williamson County. The offer may be available to residents of Davidson County as well. Please see the linked page.

  • Service International - Free Help
    Service International, a professional disaster recovery team, is in town to help homeowners who have suffered flood damage. Their work is free. If you want their help*, you must register and complete release forms at:

    Hours: 8:00am - 6:00pm

    *Work will consist of cleaning up, carpet removal, drywall removal and disposal of debris and is scheduled to begin on Saturday May 8.
